Short Bio

I grew up in Eden, North Carolina. I earned a BS in physics from North Carolina State University in 1984 and a Ph. D. in physics from Florida State University in 1989.

Currently, I'm a senior software engineer living in the Charleston, SC area. Previously, I worked for Cyblime Communications (formally Mywebcast that spun off from IBeam Broadcasting (RIP)) in the Oklahoma City area.

I taught in the Computer Science department of the University of Central Oklahoma from the fall of 1990 until the spring of 2000. The previous year I was a visiting professor at the University of Oklahoma.
